The coolest shade of 'green' is the sustainable choice. Dayle Laing is a LEED AP Professional Speaker, Educator and Author who motivates people to select the 'coolest shade of green' for beautiful sustainable interior design that enhances their body, mind & spirit and reduces their carbon footprint.
What is LEED and how could it benefit me?LEED is a comprehensive standard for certifying and constructing green buildings.Points are assigned for all different aspects of the building interior, exterior, and even landscaping.
The results are... buildings that are more energy efficient (so cost less for power – heating, cooling and lighting), are more comfortable, have better air quality (so are safer and better for our health), use fewer of our scarce natural resources (like water and petroleum products, trees and metals), and are more pleasant places in which to live and to work. In fact, resale prices are enhanced with buildings that are LEED certified. The World Green Building Council’s Vision Statement is: Through leadership collaboration, the global construction industry will transform traditional building practices and fully adopt sustainability as the means by which our environments thrive, economies prosper and societies grow to ensure the future health of our planet.”
My business partner, David Laing, passed his exam and now is also a LEED AP. His next project will be researching the areas of solar and wind power in his capacity as an Environmental Consultant.
