dayle_mark_victor_hansen_150.jpgIn November 2007, Mark Victor Hansen, the co-authordayle_irene_turnbull_150.jpg of “Chicken Soup for the Soul”, organized a MEGA Speaking Empire conference in Los Angeles, California.

My fellow colleague, Irene Turnbull and I attended the 3 day event.  This was an amazing opportunity for professional development and to network with some of the foremost professional speakers in North America.

The range and quality of seminars were...

doug_wead_dayle_150.jpgbrian_tracy_dayle_150.jpgextremely informative and motivational.  I had the opportunity to meet Doug Wead, former speech-writer to leaders, including President George Bush, President Boris Yeltsin and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and who is himself a highly gifted speaker.  Brian Tracy, a top selling author of 45 books discussed his Canadian roots with me.

gerry_robert_dayle_150.jpgAnother Canadian, Gerry Robert shared hisrene_godefroy_dayle_150.jpg “Millionaire Mindset” as we realized we live only 50 miles apart!  Rene Godefroy continued with the Canadian connection as we discussed his initial migration to Montreal from Haiti before he continued on to Miami and wrote “Kick Your Excuses Goodbye”.

tom_antion_dayle_150.jpgTom Antion, an internet marketing expert and very savvy professional speaker shared manyscott_martineau_dayle_150.jpg of his marketing ideas and helped me with a temporary camera malfunction.  The founder of “Conscious One”, Scott Martineau constructed a motivational video, using clips from all the participants right there in our seminar!

dayle_alex_mandossian_150.jpgAlex Mandossian presenting strategic business dayle_brendon_burchard_150.jpgsteps reminded me of the Business Practices for Interior Designers we have discussed in the college classes I have taught.   I particularly enjoyed meeting Brendon Burchard who has written “Life’s Golden Ticket” after surviving a near-fatal accident.

bootcamp_group_320.jpgI made new friends from around the world, cementing these friendships further when I subsequently attended the ‘Business Blueprint Bootcamp’ in Denver, Colorado in February 2008.  Professional and personal development is one of the keys to constantly questioning and improving all aspects of one’s life and contributes to balance that brings us joy for our body, mind and spirit.
